What is NMN?

NMN, or nicotinamide mononucleotide, is a naturally occurring molecule that is a derivative of Vitamin B3, also known as niacin. NMN is needed to build NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide), a coenzyme that fuels many cellular functions, including energy metabolism, DNA repair, and gene expression. The conversion process involves the transformation of nicotinamide into NMN, which then becomes NAD+ within the body. Without NAD+, there is no life.

As we age, our levels of NAD+ naturally decline partly due to oxidative stress and chronic inflammation. Between age 40 and 60, NAD+ levels can decrease by 50%. Low levels of NAD+ can be linked to age-related health issues and conditions such as anxiety, obesity, depression, type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's.

Supplementing with NMN may increase the levels of NAD+ in the body and address age-related health issues, including cognitive decline, metabolic dysfunction, and cardiovascular disease. As a result, replenishing NAD+ levels with NMN supplements may reverse age-related issues.

Backed by Science

Rejuve+ Health Products rely on up-to-date peer-reviewed scientific research to maximize the effects of our supplements.

Replenish NAD+ Levels

Our NAD+ levels naturally decline as we age. NMN is a precursor to NAD+ and supplementing with NMN helps to maintain healthy NAD+ levels, leading to improved energy metabolism.

Anti-Aging Benefits

Slow down signs of aging with NMN. NMN is believed to enhance mitochondrial function, reduce oxidative stress, and support DNA repair processes, all of which contribute to its anti-aging effects.

Improve Brain Health

Maintain optimal cognitive function by supplementing with NMN. Emerging research suggests that NMN may support brain health by promoting cellular energy production and DNA repair.

Is NMN safe?

Currently, nicotinamide mononucleotide is generally considered safe for most people when taken at proper doses. It is a naturally occurring compound found in animal and plant food sources, including avocados, broccoli, cabbage, cucumbers, and soybeans. These foods can potentially increase NAD+ levels. However, incorporating a high quality NMN supplement is one of the most efficient ways to replenish NAD+ levels. Here are reasons why NMN is safe:

  1. No serious adverse NMN supplement side effects have been reported in human studies to date.
  2. Studies have shown that NMN is safe and well-tolerated at doses up to 900 mg per day.
  3. Each production batch of NMN is tested at the manufacturer and then tested again at an independent, certified laboratory.

Always take NMN supplements under the guidance of a healthcare provider who can consider individual factors like body weight, dietary preferences, existing health conditions, and potential interactions with other medications.

NMN Supports the 9 Hallmarks of Aging

Our supplement brand aims to support healthy aging by targeting the “9 Hallmarks of Aging,” which are a set of biological factors that contribute to the aging process. NMN is the main component in our Rejuve+™ NMN21000 health product, along with PQQ, Spermidine, and Pterostilbene to produce a synergistic effect.

  • Genomic Instability: supports DNA repair processes through NAD+ activation
  • Telomere Attrition: NAD+ levels prevent premature telomere shortening
  • Epigenetic Alterations: NAD+ aids in maintaining epigenetic marks
  • Loss of Proteostasis: promotes proper protein folding and degradation
  • Deregulated Nutrient Sensing: efficient nutrients through NAD+-dependent pathways
  • Mitochondrial Dysfunction: NAD+ optimizes mitochondrial function
  • Cellular Senescence: NAD+ helps maintain cell cycle regulation
  • Stem Cell Exhaustion: supports stem cell function and regeneration
  • Altered Intercellular Communication: enhances signal between cells

Potential Benefits

NMN is a substance that helps produce NAD+ in our cells, which is essential for providing energy for cellular functions. As we age, a decrease in cellular energy and genetic instability due to DNA damage are thought to contribute to the aging process. NAD+ plays a crucial role in maintaining DNA integrity, promoting genetic stability by activating enzymes.

Here are some examples of how NMN can help or Read More in our article section.

01

Aids in Cancer Therapy

NMN has shown promise in rodents to enhance tumor killing capabilities of different types of immunotherapies and reduce harmful side effects of chemotherapies, although the efficacy of these benefits for humans still needs to be further studied.

02

Improves Brain Function

NMN has shown potential in improving cognitive function, increasing blood flow to the brain, delaying stroke onset, and preventing stroke damage in rodents, suggesting it may hold promise for treating age-related cognitive impairments.

03

Improves Muscle Function

NMN has shown promise in reversing age-related decline in muscle strength, size, and physical endurance in middle-age generation, and enhancing oxygen utilization and exercise endurance in middle-aged runners.

04

Restores Blood Vessel Health

NMN has shown promising results in reversing vascular aging and reducing blood vessel dysfunction, which could potentially prevent heart attacks and strokes caused by blockages and hypertension associated with aging.

05

Promotes Healthy Heart

NMN has been shown to protect the heart against heart failure and ischemic injury, and improve heart metabolism, thus offering potential benefits for human cardiovascular health.

06

Promotes Organ Health

NMN has shown potential to slow down aging in various parts of the human body, including the brain, vasculature, muscle, heart, metabolism, eye, bone, intestines, kidney, and liver.

07

Protects Against Obesity and Diabetes

NMN has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity and protect against metabolic impairments, including diabetes, and while lifestyle adjustments are crucial, NMN may help protect against obesity and related metabolic deficiencies in humans.

08

Enhances Maintenance of DNA Repair

Repairing DNA damage through NAD+ boosting methods such as NMN has been shown to activate sirtuins and increase telomere length in both mice and humans, which can prevent age-related diseases by slowing the process of telomere shortening that damages our genes and cells.

09

Treats Eye Aging and Injury

NMN has shown promising results in repairing mitochondrial dysfunction and reducing inflammation related to age-related macular degeneration and dry eyes.

Revitalizes Reproduction

NMN has shown promise in improving age-related fertility problems, particularly in women, by enhancing oocyte quality and number, and protecting them from toxins.
